My Honest Review of Amperna Skin As Someone With Acne-Prone, Sensitive Skin

Image taken from @sunshineeskin on Instagram

For the last month, I’ve had the chance to try some of the probiotics-based skincare from Amperna Skin. As an acne-prone, sensitive and dry-skin gal, barrier-repair and calming the skin is always my priority for looking after my skin.

Naturally I was so happy to try a range that shares the same core ethos throughout their skincare line, and am so excited to share my honest review and experience.

Ultra Gentle Soothing Cleanser

A lovely gentle & hydrating cleanser which my skin adored. It’s the perfect balance for me; cleanses the skin well whilst still nourishes, soothes and hydrates. Did not strip my skin (amazing!!!). Has a lovely natural scent (I’m assuming from the sage).

Probiotic+ DS Soothing Serum

My personal favourite and I would definitely repurchase. If you are super dehydrated (like me) and find your skin drinks serums up quickly, this is the one for you. I appreciate that it’s thicker than a typical serum (my skin needs that!) and my skin appreciated the extra hydration.

I found it was also super cooling and calming for my sensitive skin and the probiotics were great for restoring my skin barrier. Absolutely LOVED this one.

Lightweight Soothing+ Emulsion

Texture felt in between a serum and moisturiser. I appreciated the feeling of layering this as a bonus hydration layer. Incredible skin benefits by adding this into your routine: ceramides, emollients, probiotics etc.

Perfect as a light moisturiser for oily skin types or as an extra layer for dry skin types (aka me).

In honour of always keeping things real and honest, unfortunately my skin did not love Probiotic + SOS Daily Facial Spray nor the 10% Pro+ Resurfacing Lotion. Sometimes things don’t work for me and that’s completely okay. They may be perfect for you!

It’s wonderful to see a brand so focused on skin health and barrier-repair as these values are what I believe are the most important aspects of skincare and skin-care! A wonderful range indeed.
