The Free Consultation Process

I was super impressed to see the consultation process was not only free, but didn’t require or lock you into any purchasing from the range.

You book in with a skin expert who hears about your skin concerns, what you’re currently using and budget. The skin expert matches you with what products are most suited to your skin type, as well as walking you through how to use the steps.

Understanding your skin is the first step. That’s why we offer a complimentary 1:1 online skin consultation to our community. Our Ultra Skin Experts get to know you better so we can recommend a routine that is right for you.

I enjoyed how candid I could be, saying things about other brands I love to use, and things I wasn’t willing to swap out.

That way, Ultraceuticals could fit in where I wanted to try it, and I found out exactly what was my best fit.

I had the lovely Miriam, who was not only knowledgeable, but fantastic in educating me about the brand and how I could fit it into my routine.

She kindly scheduled me into follow up consults too, to track my skin progress.

I was happy with my results and didn’t feel the need to continue the consult process, but I was grateful that it was an option!

Book in here. Below is my consultation notes.

My favourite from the range is the Ultra Balancing Gel Cleanser. It’s designed to provide thorough cleansing without following the typical clear gel format; it's more akin to a creamy gel consistency (pictured above)

It contains ingredients like Aloe Vera, Glycerin, Panthenol, Cucumber extract, and Oat Kernel extract.

A small amount of this cleanser goes an exceptionally long way, making it incredibly valuable for its price point.

Its effect on the skin is remarkable, leaving it relaxed and impeccably clean.

Overall, it boasts a truly beautiful formula. This left such an impact on me that I emptied a 200ml bottle and got a back up. It will be appearing in my 2023 win round ups!

Ultra B2 Hydrating Serum

The 'B squared' serum is a luxurious, high-quality formulation that combines Vitamin B3 and B5.

It boasts a generous amount of Sodium Hyaluronate, delivering a plumping effect on the skin while remaining pleasantly non-sticky – a definite win.

The serum's brilliance lies in its quality and simple formulation.

It has garnered a devoted following, particularly among those seeking reliability and effectiveness in the cosmeceutical realm.

This recommendation, of course, leans toward cosmeceuticals and isn’t at my typical price point for Niacinamide focused serums.

Ultra Hydrating Lotion

I used this for two weeks and passed it onto someone with a slightly oilier skin type than me.

Its texture was enjoyable, and I didn't experience breakouts during use.

The true benefits of its Ceramides would likely show with prolonged use.

Its ingredients include Aloe Vera, Ceramide-3, Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Cholesterol, Vitamin E, and a Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) containing Sodium PCA, Urea, and Sodium Hyaluronate.

I was half expecting to be completely blown away by this given the line up in the formula, but was left a little high and dry- Ultimately it probably wasn’t heavy enough for the nourishing moisturisers I typically opt for.

This would be wonderful for anyone who is oily or combo, though!

So while this product didn't align with my preferences, it doesn't detract from its quality in any way.

Ultra UV Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF50 Mattifying

This product is formulated to be mattifying, utilising Silica as a mattifier that absorbs excess sebum.

Its 'microspheres' work to scatter and diffuse light, contributing to a mattified appearance on the skin. It's recommended for those with normal to oily skin types.

The formula is lightweight, ensuring fast absorption.

Moreover, it contains a blend of moisturising components including Shea Butter, Sodium Hyaluronate, Vitamin E, Glycerin, Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), and Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) to support the skin's lipid shield.

My coworker shared positive feedback, mentioning, 'It's the first SPF I’ve enjoyed using' and praising its compatibility with makeup, stating it's beautiful underneath.

Additionally, they noted its delightful fragrance. Like a keylime pie! Yum. This product also boasts a five-star rating online.
