This Week in Skin! Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment & Superfade Treatment Cream

This week, I've been exploring some fascinating skincare products that have truly impressed me.

Here's a sneak peek into what I’ve been reaching for the past weeks.

Succinic Acid Blemish Treatment by The Inkey List

Amidst some buzz, I decided to give this product a try.

What I needed was a salicylic acid-based spot treatment that wouldn't leave marks on my pillow.

This product ticks that box perfectly!

It's effective, particularly for those blemishes that are just under the skin, rather than full-blown pustules- for those, I'd recommend a hydrocolloid patch.

The dry down of this treatment is impressive, helping in reducing the visibility of those pesky spots.

Collagen Boost Eye Cream by Essano Beauty

Initially, I was sceptical about whether this would suit my skin type.

However, the idea of a luxurious eye cream that plumps and smooths the delicate area around the eyes was too tempting to pass up.

This cream is not only creamy with a good slip but also gentle on the eyes.

I've noticed my eyes looking more hydrated, which is a significant concern for me, especially since retinol and acne products can sometimes leave my skin looking dry.

The pillow transfer is real for drying products!

Superfade Treatment Cream by Plunketts

This product is a commitment, but it's worth it.

I apply a thin layer across my face, avoiding the eye area, about twice a week.

It's gentle enough to use following a retinol treatment (though my current retinol isn't very strong).

The results on my hyperpigmentation have been noticeable and impressive.

Hydroquinone, a key ingredient, is something you should research before using.

A little goes a long way with this cream, and I'm planning a more detailed post about it soon.

Calm Blue Face Cream by Dewy & Bae

They've done it again!

As a fan of their niacinamide serum, I had high hopes for this face cream, and it didn't disappoint.

The texture and finish on the skin are beautiful, and it contains squalene, a personal favourite ingredient. It's soothing and plumping for the skin.

I've been using it mainly in my PM routine and have yet to try it under makeup. Stay tuned for an update on that!

These are some of the products making their mark in my skincare regime.

Have you tried any of these?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
